What you need to know
The first session of any assessment is a standard psychology consultation at a cost of $250. If the decision is made to go ahead with the assessment:
Assessments for ADHD cost $2500 with a full report (usually around 10 pages), or $1500 if a brief, single page diagnosis letter is all that is required rather than a comprehensive testing report. In either case, the price includes 4-5 hours of face to face psychometric testing, which can be done over one long session or two shorter sessions, as well as a feedback session lasting up to 50 minutes to go over the results of the assessment in detail (which can be done face to face or online). Typically, the tests administered are the WAIS-IV (ages 16+) or WISC-V (child under 16), WIAT-III and a MOXO d-CPT. Not included in the price are CAARS questionnaires (for adults; $25 each) or CBRS questionnaires (for children under 18; $15 each). Usually, two to four of these questionnaires are required per assessment (a self-report questionnaire and one to three observer report questionnaires).
Assessments for autism cost $2500 with a full report (usually around 8 pages), or $1500 if a brief, single page diagnosis letter is all that is required rather than a comprehensive testing report. In either case, the price includes an ADOS assessment lasting around 1 to 1.5 hours, as well as a feedback session lasting up to 50 minutes to go over the results of the assessment in detail (which can be done face to face or online).
Combined ADHD/autism assessments are available for $4000 with a full report, or $3000 with a brief diagnosis letter (excluding the cost of CAARS/CBRS questionnaires.
